President Jack Gregory, called the meeting to order June 17, at 7 pm and reminded us the next meeting will be July 15. Jack also introduced a guest Derick Smith.
Vice President Paul Pouliot listed the tools that were given to the club by a generous woodworker.

Treasurer Report: Mike Mogilevsky gave an encouraging report. Thanks to generous contributions of wood for the club auction and the sale of tools, and a grant from our National Organization we have $1200 in the bank.
Show and Tell: as usual was very good. See Pictures included in this July blog.
Auctioneer: Harvey Driver auctioned for a large quantity of excellen prepared blanks and a couple of large exotic boards. This pays the rent on the meeting place and allows our DVD Library to grow.
Demonstator: Paul Pouliot was again our demonstrator. He finished a dry maple bowl that was part of the general "How To" a few months ago. Paul can finish dry wood better than many can turn green wood. Thanks Paul.

PRESIDENTS TURN
The President Turn
Many thanks to Harvey Driver and all who participated in the wood auction, you all
helped make it a good one!
We will be raffling off the hollowing tool donated by Bill Piastuch. Rules will be the
same as the last raffle, Tickets are $1.00 ea, 6 for $5.00. Tickets will be sold at the July
and August meetings and the drawing will be at the September meeting. You will NOT
have to be present to win!!
The display at the Mims library was well received. The folks at the library said they had
several favorable comments about it. The talent we have in this club is awesome. Thanks to everyone who donated their work for the exhibit.
I am STILL looking for someone to learn how to operate the video equipment, we should not be relying on just one or two people to know how to run the cameras and the projector. Come on guys I can do it so anybody can!!
This January will mark my two years as President and I think it is time for someone else
to assume that office. We will be naming a nominating committee to present a slate of
Officers for election in December. Anyone interested in serving either on the committee
or as an officer see me at the July meeting.
